Day Three of the Sandals Mega FAM Adventure

If day one and two weren’t enough, day three of the Sandals Mega FAM event brought attendees to the beautiful destination of Grenada. Known as the Spice Island, Grenada is a stunning spot for a vacation. Travel agents were greeted by Sandals representatives and taken to the LaSource Grenada Resort, arguably one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.

Touring LaSource Grenada Resort

The primary purpose of visiting the LaSource Grenada Resort was to give travel agents the opportunity to see the incredible destination in person. The first thing that attendees noticed was the fact that an amazing view waited at nearly every spot in the entire resort. The tour included a visit to the various villages, all of which are within walking distance of the Caribbean Sea.

Guests can stay in the South Seas Village, the Italian Village or the Pink Gin Villages. There are also plenty of incredible amenities for guests who are in the mood to indulge. Some of these perks include personal butler service, unlimited scuba diving, infinity SkyPools on the balcony, incredible suites, wedding and honeymoon packages and 10 amazing restaurants to choose from onsite.

Perks for Travel Agents in Attendance

Along with a personalized tour of the grounds, travel agents were treated to some perks that could only come from Sandals. Treats like a delicious lunch at the onsite eateries, freshly squeezed cane juice and a fresh coconut helped make the day a refreshing one. After some time to relax or hop in the pool, travel agents were guests at a farewell function that featured the Hon. Alexandra Otway-Noel, the Grenada Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation & Culture.

Getting the opportunity to meet and greet this fabulous and funny woman was a highlight of the day! Day three finished with a bang thanks to the unexpected island carnival at the airport lounge just before departure. Tropical decorations, live music, vendors selling local gems and spices like cinnamon, mace, cloves and nutmeg ensured that guests got an authentic taste of island life before leaving.

Island Routes

Travel agents also got the chance to learn more about Island Routes, a company that is part of the Sandals Family. Island Routes offers incredible Caribbean adventures in a number of destinations throughout the region. Even when travelers aren’t staying in a Sandals resort, they may have access to Island Routes day trips, tours and thrilling adventures that can turn an ordinary vacation into one that will definitely be remembered forever.

The Sandals Foundation

Those attending the Sandals Mega FAM were also given some information on The Sandals Foundation, a nonprofit engaged in community support and philanthropy around the world.

Guests staying at Sandals resorts within the Caribbean can donate to help local causes, but they can also get actively involved through volunteer work. Reading to children in nearby villages, helping with a construction project on one day of your vacation or just learning more about the local residents can be a way to mix pleasure with philanthropy on your next getaway.

Day three of the Sandals Mega FAM event was another huge success. Along with touring the LaSource Grenada Resort, attendees got an inside look at Island Routes and the Sandals Foundation.
