Successful Tampa Bay Reception For Travel Industry Professionals

tampa_bayWorking as a travel professional certainly has its perks, and one of the recent benefits included those who were invited to a thrilling event put on by the Tampa Bay Tourism Board. Employees from Travel Planners International were among the lucky attendees who learned more about the entertainment and attractions in Florida while enjoying great food and scooping up some memorable prizes.

Tampa Bay Tourism Board Event: The Purpose

Along with learning more about all of the tourism-based businesses located in Tampa Bay, attendees at this exciting event had a great time enjoying all of the benefits that were being offered. After being welcomed by the Tampa Bay Tourism Board, everyone in attendance dug into a tasty and authentic Mexican buffet. Guests got to choose all of their own fillings and toppings according to personal preference, and the tacos, burritos and salads were washed down with a selection of drinks or signature margaritas and sangria cocktails from the open bar.

Presentations were made by several travel industry vendors with ties to the Tampa area, including Holiday Inn Express, Howard Johnson, Sheraton, Epicurean, Le Meridien, Hilton, Florida Aquarium and Copa Airlines. Busch Gardens in Tampa was also present, presenting their newest attraction, “Falcon’s Fury,” a 335-foot drop tower with a 90-degree mid-air turn that leaves riders facing directly downward at the top of the tower before an intense 60 mph plunge face first toward the ground. The ride is the tallest freestanding drop tower in the United States and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014.
