To kick things off, let’s start off with your marketing plan. Have you developed one yet? 2013 has just started so it’s not to late to prepare your marketing schedule. There are benefits to deciding what your marketing is going to be for the entire year.
- It’s like a marketing diet. When you create a marketing plan, you create a realistic budget and are more likely to stick to it.
- Never the same thing twice. You eliminate unintentional redundancies in your marketing campaigns.
- Coordination is key! You’re able to correlate marketing campaigns with special offers throughout the year.
- Accountability. You’re more likely to actually do the marketing you said you were going to do.
You should include any direct mail, e-marketing, social media campaigns (Facebook contests, blogs, etc.) and PPC campaigns in your marketing plan. Also, if you plan on hosting any special events, in addition to including it in your budget you should include advertising for them in your marketing campaigns.
