Introducing the inaugural 2018 Azamara Club Cruises – World Journey
“Travel the world. Bring your hotel.” That phrase is about to take on a whole new meaning with the introduction of Azamara’s first-ever World Journey – a voyage adventure taking you to some of the world’s most bustling cities, off the beaten path wonders, and everything in between.
102 Days. 60 Ports. 29 Countries. 18 Late Nights. 13 Overnights. 8 AzAmazing Evenings.
One chance of a lifetime voyage while only repeating one port the entire time (and that one is worth it, we promise).
The world will come alive on this all-encompassing adventure and provide an assortment of new experiences and exciting opportunities throughout. You’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy many sunrises on your scenic veranda with backdrops ranging from lush mountains to beautiful harbors. You’ll have many chances to set out on excursions, both adrenaline filled and laid back, as you meet new friendly faces, share stories with those from all walks of life, and receive an immersive look into a variety of distinct cultures and civilizations. And you’ll have countless occasions to enjoy a mouthwatering local meal, from seared meats on the barbie in Australia to tapas at a local favorite restaurant in Spain.
Enriching? Of course. Life changing? Most definitely. And fun? Well, if you count spending three-plus months with a friendly attentive staff looking after you at every turn as you sail to iconic sites and hidden gem destinations as fun, then certainly add that to the list.
Real authentic travel is what Azamara does best. And there is no better way to experience half of the world than onboard this voyage for those who really love travel.
Destination Immersion at its finest.
March 7, 2018, the World Journey begins in the stunning port of Sydney, Australia, perhaps the most impressive harbor in the world and a most fitting starting point. Sydney’s majestic views and White Bay will greet you as you step onboard your club-like hotel and home for the next several months en route to your final destination – the heart of London, England. Sailing up the River Thames, your World Journey comes to a close under the iconic Tower Bridge on June 17, 2018. It’s a conclusion as equally as impressive as the start.
In between Sydney and London, there will be no shortage of exciting destinations. From Australia it’s on to Bali – where Melissa Gilbert found love and you will too – whether on an elephant safari ride, at the Tanah Lot Temple, or in Ubud, the once-quiet hamlet Eat, Pray, Love made famous.
Late March and early April will bring you throughout Southeast Asia. Spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City and actually experience all of it. Two nights here means there’s time to see the modern city and all of its taboos. And time to fly to Cambodia to the temples and treasure of Angor Wat.
From the South China Sea, you’ll head to the Indian Ocean, and eventually a stop in Sri Lanka, where cinnamon and clove gardens make the air amazing and temples honor the ground where Buddha walked. April ends with three days in Dubai, a modern marvel filled with sprawling city and futuristic attractions.
And no World Journey would be complete without Mediterranean sunshine, and on your voyage, you’ll have plenty of it. In Monte-Carlo, you’ll arrive just in time to attend the famous Monaco Grand Prix, one of many legendary world events you’ll have the chance to witness on this voyage.
History lovers will find a place on the World Journey too, as you won’t go a week without visiting historic world attractions. The voyage sails to the historic beaches and villages of Normandy and the charming port of Honfleur, where you can stroll around the old harbor and visit the incredible wooden church of Ste-Catherine.
Many of Azamara’s senior officers will be onboard for the duration of the voyage, providing an opportunity to form friendships as many of our guests do. Your voyage will also feature cultural entertainment, dining, and more related to your destinations. And since you’ll be traveling halfway around the world, the onboard experience will be just as diverse as your time on land.
