Your Summer Weekends Are Getting an Upgrade
Ask around, and most people will say they spent their weekend doing a whole lot of “nothing.” They didn’t actually do “nothing,” it just wasn’t an eventful weekend. However, summer is right around the corner and your weekends deserve some adventure and spontaneity! And we’ve got the perfect solution. It’s time to upgrade your weekends with Royal Caribbean!
Royal Caribbean is now offering plenty of short weekend getaways this summer where you and your closest friends can indulge yourselves, hit the mental reset button, and let your inner thrill-seeker run free! Hop aboard one of their newly Royal Amplified ships, Navigator of the Seas, to truly guarantee an unforgettable weekend. (Psst, she’ll be the first ship setting sail to Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at Coco Cay. More on that later!)
Keep reading below to find out what your new summer weekends will look like!
Navigate Through Your Weekend
Start your weekend right aboard the new Navigator of the Seas. The Royal Amplified Navigator of the Seas is overflowing with new ways to spend your day in the sun. Set your thrill-seeker free by plunging down The Blaster, the longest waterslide at sea, or Riptide, the only headfirst mat racer waterslide at sea. And if you work up an appetite, check out El Loco Fresh between rides. It’s the perfect pit stop and everything on the menu – think burritos, tacos, and quesadillas – is delicious and fresh. If you’re into the diner classics, grab a bite from Johnny Rockets Express.
What’s a cruise without a few drinks involved? If you’re looking for the perfect #TBT (throwback Thursday) spot, make your way over to The Bamboo Room. With their kitschy, tiki-themed cocktails and throwback Polynesian vibes, it’s the perfect place to meet with friends after dinner. If you’re looking to spice up your night, head to The Lime and Coconut. Tthis new, Caribbean-themed bar has a rooftop deck to lounge by day and party by night.
Navigator of the Seas starts sailing 3- and 4-night weekend cruises out of Miami in May 2019.
Upgrade to the Perfect Day
Your summer weekend getaway wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Perfect Day at Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean’s newly revamped private island. Officially opening May 2019, it’s the perfect place to have a perfect day!
For those seeking a little R&R, envision yourself soaking up some sun under clear blue skies and then taking a dip in even clearer water. Relax in the privacy of your cabana but no need to get up, your private attendant will get it.

Determine which path is right for you
Satisfy your need for a thrill by zip lining across the island or take a plunge down Daredevil’s Peak, the tallest waterslide in North America with a spiraling 135-foot plunge. If family fun is what you’re looking for, then your search is over. Make your way over to the Family Tower – six multi-rider slides that the whole family can do together. Or let the little ones run free at Splashaway Bay, a complimentary kids’ waterpark, while you watch, with a drink in hand, from your cabana.
And if you want to do it all, go right ahead! You have a whole (perfect) day at Coco Cay!
